It’s about 4 years old. When grilling we used to be able to partly close the door, but recently it won’t stay in the near vertical (ajar) position so we have to use the grill with the door fully open (ie door horizontal).

I have found a source of hinges at some £30 each. Is there any possibility of getting just the springs which I assume is what has broken, rather than a complete hinge assembly. Alternatively, any better prices on the hinge?

Also I have not been able to find a manual for this model, though I don’t suppose there are any special dificulties replacing the hinge/s.

    Thanks for any advice.

The cam in the hinge wears, which is why it will no longer hold part way. I take it your oven is actually an AKG410/WH? If so you need 2 x 4819 417 18965 – about £23 each plus VAT and P+P.

An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for confirmed prices and ordering.
