The above slimline dishwasher has stopped working (obviously or I wouldn’t be here 🙄 ) We can hear water running and it gets heated up in the bottom of the machine but it doesn’t seem to get into the arms and nothing gets washed.
We happened to have an Ariston engineer in looking at our dryer (under guarantee) and asked him about the dishwasher. He said that it was categorically the timer and gave us the part number to order a new one.
We ordered the part and fitted it today but it has made no difference to the machine at all. Apart from the fact that the timer now “ticks” which it never did before.
So £45 down and still the dishwasher isn’t working 😥 . Any ideas?

Sounds as if the wash pump is not running, once its filled, can you hear a buzzing noise ??
It may just be as simple as something caught in the pump stopping it turn, or more seriously a faulty capacitor or pump.
You would be better off getting an engineer in to check which it is, check the repairs@ section on the left, or post your postcode or town and an engineer locally will be able to help.
