As an antidote to the ‘Annoying customers’ thread I have just had a pleasant surprise. 🙂
Just opened a letter from someone I ‘apparantly’ spoke to on Monday night, short term memory loss, you know how it is with age.
The letter reads as follows,
‘Just a thank you for your advice Monday night regarding my washing machine, one of my wifes socks was stuck. Anyway have a drink on me, once again thank you. Makes a change in this day and age to speak to someone who doesn’t rip you off.’
Enclosed with the letter was a cheque for £20.00 😳 🙂
It was the first time I had ever spoken to the gentleman concerned, things like this do help to dispel the cynicism that this job can sometimes engender.
