Product Number: E611792000Simple 4x Ring gas hob … hopefully a simple fault but am visiting elderly relative and ignition has stopped working on her hob … you get a very, very faint click when you push the button but nothing else … strangely, when 1x hob is lit, if you then try it you get a much stronger but slow pulsed spark … any ideas anyone before i leave here tomorrow a.m … am I looking for a battery to replace ? … or is there 240v supply somewhere going to it ? she has no idea and i cant see behind the back of the cupboards … all help greatfully recieved … ta gents ! It’s a mains powered unit and you will have to split the hob to access it. Being a gas appliance, I really wouldn’t mess with it…..

Fine, thanks … ’nuff said ! … is it worth getting it repaired … or shall I just buy her a piezo lighter …

If she happy with piezo then that would be the cheapest option and no danger at all.
