    Hi again Guys

My life has turned into an electrical nightmare, my Mum has managed to blow up her cooker and now the tumble dryer in a week. 🙄

The dryer is a Zanussi TC 7114W, Mum said the water container was very full so she emptied it and now although the red light is on to show theres power, the start button won’t stay in it just keeps popping out. Is this some kind of cut off because she let the water container get too full or do we have a fault?

    Thanks
    Lynn

I think it’s coincidental, the on/off switch latches itself (or should do) but has failed by the sound of it.

A pretty straightforward repair, check Repairs@ for a UKW engineer who can come and fit one for your Mum 😀

Dave thanks for that but the on/off switch is working OK and staying in, the red light is on. The problem lies with the start button its this button that won’t stay in. Can anyone give the approx cost of repair please. (the machine is still under warranty but she can’t find the receipt 😥 )

    thanks,
    Lynn

You should still be able to get it repaired within the guarantee period, check with the retailer for a duplicate reciept or if it was registered with Electrolux when purchased.

Check here http://www.serviceforce.co.uk for a Zanussi agent 🙂

    Dave.

Just as a matter of interest, did any liquid get spilled down the front of it?

    Regards
    Simon
