You need to count the number of flashes whilst the timer is advancing. This will indicate an error code.

You can get boards repaired/ exchanged at emwelec.co.uk or qer.biz
And if the diagnosis is wrong you don’t pay so much.

Before sending the board to us, have a look at :
1 edge connectors – tighten each pin with a stanley blade
2 damp ? these boards don’t care for damp or condensation – unplug
the machine and dry the board with a hairdryer – tell the customer to ventilate the kitchen more
3 uneven wear on carbon brushes – they may have 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} life left but if they wear slightly unevenly the dreaded timer will rotate
4 open circuit components – heater/pump/thermister (2 on dryers) – they will all send the timer around
5 motor – try another as a last resort
Only after everything else exhausted send the board to us.
I only mention this because about 40{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the boards sent in have no fault

Useful info. Probably should be at the top of the error codes thread?

I don’t understand the bit about uneven wear on the brushes. I would have thought they were either making contact or not making contact. 😕

Tony http://www.emwelec.co.ukDoes this mean that 40{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time you only charge a test fee rather than a repair fee? I just paid £41 for a repair to a W143S UK module and the machine is as bad as ever. 😥

Correct. 40{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the boards sent in are charged at £4+vat as test only. Your board had work done on it as a result of dampness jumping the tracks and was finally reprogrammed. Send your board back for a full credit of £41 and we will then re-test it and put it into our stock.

If the machine is scrapped I might take you up on that offer (customer permitting).
