ModeratorIt has definately been one of those weeks. 😥
Pnc 911631002.
Machine drains on any programme, unusally it does this with the door open, close door, it then moves to fill, sounds like valve is energised but not filling.
Unfortunately it is a slimline integrated machine, customer has fitted large quarry tiles after the lower plinth was installed. Impossible to get out without ripping out the plinth which I am definately not going to do.
To make matters worse I was perusing the TDS dvd last night ( I have both Acrobat Reader 5 & 7 installed and TDS has worked fine) when I foolishly allowed Acrobat Reader 7 to auto update. 😥 Big mistake when I now try to open the TDS disc, instead of Reader 5 opening I get a file download blocked by Internet Explorer. If I download and run this small VBD file Reader then opens but does not display all the files. I was at it until 1.30 am this morning, uninstalling, reinstalling, using system restore, registry clean up but still cannot get the darned thing to open without it trying to download this file. I have tried by removing Reader 7 only without success as well.
So any pointers on the dishwasher will be helpful for when I return.

(FPS is the obvious, isn’t it.
However, if..)Impossible to get out without ripping out the plinth which I am definately not going to do..
then you need to dream up a way of drying it out without extracting it. ❓
Think I’d just tell the customer I don’t mind doing kitchen demolition work at the appropriate rate. 😆November 18, 2005 at 10:35 am #154697Phidom

In those cases I leave it to the customer to organise a way of getting the machine out (remove worktop 😯 ) then go back to do the job when they are ready.

She has already organised for the original fitter ( only been in 12 months) to return, but as they put these great big tiles down themselves I guess he wont be impressed either. 😥

Finally got the call to return to this dishwasher.
As I pulled the machine out I thought, ‘bingo’ badly kinked inlet hose, completely cutting of water supply, nice and simple but oh no 😥 .
As I mentioned in my first post, this machine pumps out as soon as a programme is selected and the on/off switch is depressed, even before you close the door.
Set the machine on and it starts to fill perfectly but it never gets enough water in to do a wash, the drain pump is still running. Base is bone dry, all internal hoses are clear, in fact the machine has hardly been used and has not had time to gunge up. Customer says it has never worked correctly. No float switch on these, I suspect a faulty safety level pressure switch (1526370-13/3) , some times the fill is intermittant, firing on and off as if there is a faulty contact. did manage to get enough water in for a wash and heat action by disconnecting the pump whilst it was filling.
Surely having no cold fill would not cause this problem Will try a safety level switch, any other suggestions, module perhaps ??

Dave, I have fully functioning TDS dvd, now that I have sorted the earlier problems with it. Is the PDF something extra?

I don’t know, it didn’t come from TDS 😉
Mine doesn’t work at the moment 🙁

Did you try using System Restore, you need to go back about 3 weeks. My TDS is working fine now, although I have not risked putting Reader 7 back on yet.

That file you sent is on my TDS, but my copy is now acting the goat again, I have to keep removing the DVD and re inserting it to get the parts diagrams to load.
To be honest I don’t think my model is on the latest TDS disc (UK2005)
It only has two versions of PNC 911631001 not 002. There is nothing on TDS for an ESL4114 that looks like the controls on the one I have. Also some models on the DVD seem to have overflow switches in the base as well as two pressure switches and some don’t. I could not see one anywhere on this machine. Must say those four little balls in the sump, two of which are in the pressure chamber side of the sump look interesting though,

System restore is a last resort to be honest, I’ve made too many changes and installed stuff to go back 3 weeks 🙁
I’ll just use the version on my laptop instead as that works fine even though it has exactly the same software as this PC 😕

If it’s the machine i’m thinking of, I’ve had a few where the decalsifier unit (water box) on the L/H side have been at fault from new. I only know this as we as a company have a contract with a chain of care homes and have to cover the gurantee ourselvs (ME) with these appliances. THE SAME FAULT!!! Its an expencive gamble though… think its about £40 to us..

Interesting, I assume you mean the water softener unit, the water does appear to flow quite freely through the unit, when I disconnected the neutral to the drain pump it then filled to a normal level to allow a normal wash action. Would care homes be fitted with integrated dishwashers?

Jim, Is there a water level matrix on the right hand side as in a Fagor machine?
I had a similar problem a while back on an unbranded fully integrated dishwasher. It didn’t work from new and had the same symptoms. It turned out to be the connector plug on the overfill protection microswitch was on UPSIDE DOWN!

Thanks for the Fagor pdf.s Bob. I have saved them for the future. This machine does not, as far as I can see have an overfill microswitch, it has two pressure switches attached to a small plastic level control matrix on the right hand ( from front ) side. It is only just over 12 months old and although very similar to PNC911631001 it has some differences that are not on the 2005 TDS dvd.
I will keep you all informed as to my progress. 🙂 -
