I went to this machine the other day . The upper suspension spring onthe soap draw side had become detached at its upper end , alowing the drum to drop . the concrete weight had demolished the pump housing . I refitted the spring and fitted a new pump . I just had a call from the customer , and it sounds like its thrown a repeat performance . It did several succesful washes in the meantime . Both times it happened was on a boilwash . Am I missing some underlying cause ? Suggustions welcome .
The idea of a faulty taco magnet or coil did cross my mind ,but it just seems strange it worked ok for a while . Will check it out on next visit and post a reply . Many thanks .
Have a look also at the module if it’s the one where the module fixes to the base of the cabinet with a 7mm headed screw. I’ve come across a couple where a pcb solder joint to a relay had burned out leading to no motor action.
Could see an intermittent contact there causing problems.
Tacho coils on these often go o/c. Possibly could be intermittent contact at point where red wires enter plastic tacho casing or at motor plug.
(When coil goes o/c you get spin on wash ➡ jumps).
Mike.
Not good enough in this case neptune, you really need to replace it in a case like this. The Module relay dry joint will only lead to the motor not working at all!
