We have a Ariston AIB 16 which when wanting to put on a spin the door will not lock. The timer continues to count down until the cycle completes, but it does not start spinning as the door is not locked.
My better half does state that she has seen a F02 message although I have not seen this as yet.
I will keep trying things, although any help would be appriciated

F02 is a motor related fault and may well be stoping the door from locking if the control PCB detects an error.
Has the filter etc been checked ?
Power off if you go any further please :zap: Or you may prefer to ask an engineer to check it over foir you, Repairs@ should provide one 🙂

I have checked the filter and it is clean
When removing the filter last time it is of such a stupid design, that 2 coins had got stuch between the spars that keep the back plate in position. Removal of the filter meant that one of these spars broke off completely and the other now acts as the spacer. How important are these spacers?
If I need to replace it what is the part called (I cannot really call it the filter pug with a back place held apart with spacer things)
Repairs@ unfortunately do not have an engineer in our area
