ParticipantHiyas,
Quite a lot of appliances have test programs that can be run.
I’ve already posted the details on how to run the Whirlpool dolphin dishwasher range test program, along with the error codes.
Anyone know of other test programs for other appliances that may be helpful in diagnosing faults?Brian

Hotpoint Ultima WM71-73 there is a spin test and a wet test. For spin test hold A & D keys down and press the On button then the start key. Wet test hold A & C down etc.

Just to add a bit of flesh to the bones. 😉
After doing the above the display will first show ’50°- Wet Test’.
Test sequence is as follows.
1. Fill cold for 40 secs no motor action
2. Temp controlled filled to 50° with normal agitation at wash speed
3. Pause for 20 secs
4. Fill from fabric cond valve
5. Four tumbles of normal action at wash speed
6. Pump out for 40 secs, no agitation
7. Pump out and spin at 1000 rpm for 30 secs
8. Pump out and spin at 1200 rpm for 10 secs
10 Stop.Important notice.
Allow the test programme to finish before switching off the appliance.
Failure to do this will result in the sequence running when the customer next tries to select a programme.
Pressing Cancel will also clear the test programme. This will also work on Ulitma Washer Dryers such as WD71/3
When I get the time I will post a few more Hotpoint test programmes, but once again the squash court beckons. 🙂

KeymasterI think it may be time for a specific thread for this similar to the fault code one.
