Today I fitted a new inner glass rubber , part No. 6226101 to the main oven door of this appliance. The rubber seemed to need a lot of stretching to get it on but it did go on. Unfortunately, the customer had removed the glass and disposed of the old rubber so I could not use the old as a guide to fitting the new. The customer has just rung me to say they used the oven this evening and the new rubber has split. As I had to stretch it so much I suppose there may have been part of it under greater tension than the rest. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this job as I had not done one before? 🙁
