Well as no error code comes up on this one then I guess best to check all the usual failings? Air Chamber?, Heater down to earth? Drain probs? Interlock? Cold Solenoid? etc etc

martin
many thanks
heater cutting in and taking currect current
inlet valves all operating
drain pump@: client has cleared coin blockages prior to my vist, although on my test water evacuated fine and continued into spin cycle without problems.
door interlock i would presume is ok as programme selection and action are as normal, until 30 minutes of cycle.
Do you have error codes for this model
thanks

Ah, it’s the same as a New Wave, if this has the old large control module it will just be “all lights flashing” with no specefic fault codes, it just detects an error.
The later version had the “L” shaped PCB with a slave timer unit next to it, these should display an “E” code in the window.

so dave
are we saying yes fault(s) identified by all lights flashing,
but via elimination we might clear fault condition?

Yep, that’s about it, all lights flashing is telling you/the user something is wrong but not what it is.
Elemination as you say I’m afraid.

As Martin suggests, heater down even if not a dead short can cause problems on these machines, very prone to leaks onto the element, check door seal for small holes at the top.

Error code E1 can be several things, most commonly it is drain time-out. (Check sticking Sump Ball, pump etc) followed be Heater fault = stick a new one in if in the slightest doubt? Gunge in the air bell another common touch and also the inlet valves can play up and give E1.. 😕

watch out for blockage in air hose, if it has bent down bolow the level of the chamber it can ger fouled and “air lock ” causes p/sw problems

E1 is a generic fault code New Wave machines have check times for each stage of the program. ie it has to fill in time, heat in time, empty in time. Error codes around 20-30 minutes would suggest a heater. As others have said a low isulation heater will cause E1 for the record low insulation on these machines is anything less infinity/999/OS or whatever your megger reads. It is possible that is actually a E1 fault. E1 refers to the contact E1 in the TMX slave unit located on the program board. There is no way to test for this other than replace the TMX slave unit. 😆 😆
