Hi,
Service No. 8570 2471 5390.
This machine is under 18 months old.
Customer complains of machine sticking in wash at begining of prog. Does not heat. Heater checks out ok, as do all the functions in fact ie motor, water level, pump. The electronic stat in the heater is approx 11K with no water in.
Does this sound like a control board problem?

It sounds like it, although I would be tempted to remove the heater first just in case it’s blown a hole in it and the water ingress is making the circuit 😉

Have you had the front of the machine off and checked that the heater terminals are not making only intermittent contact due to partially burnt terminal?

Hi Laurence
The thermister is probably about right as it should be 9.8 K at 30 degree, so I guess that 11 k is about right for room temp.
I’ve Always found to be a duff heater on these, as Dave says, worth pulling out and checking. Should be I think be between 22 – 28 ohms.

Re hole in heater:
The isulation reading on this reads about normal, approx 26 ohms if I remember.
Re damage to contacts on heater:
The heater and whole of machine are immaculate inside.
At the price of this PCB, I doubt if they will have it done if it was the problem.
