    Earlier this year these cookers were modified new base/ floor fitted to stop customer floors burning. Stoves have found it hasn’t worked and going to exchange 17000 of them! I wonder if the other two will do the same.

    yeah these are the technogas built ones with the horse shoe oven base burner, total rubbish will cost them 2.5 million at a time they can barely afford it even with thier massive backing I think all stoves appliances could some day become factored products as happened with belling.
    We were only told to fit the modified bases for a couple of weeks then got told not to bother.
    I dont work for them anymore but was told that news is top secret………… who told you ? 😀

    This is a bit worrying as I have repaired a few Servis cookers lately would you know any model numbers which could be affected?

    Double oven units where the bottom oven burner is about two inches off the floor with a metal plate between it and the floor. No signs of heat on the metal plate but the floor boards can be burnt right through to the joists! 😡
