The fridge on my Hotpoint mistral plus frost free has suddenly stopped working, although the freezer seems to be fine.
I’ve read through the various similar topics and I’d imagine the various 8596 advice applys to my fridge too. 🙂
So I’ll make sure its fully defrosted, hoover out the base fan, then possibly replace the evap thermistor followed by the fridge thermistor.
The only thing I notice is that a fan inside my fridge freezer seems to be constantly on, when it wasn’t before.
Might this point to something more specific or something else?Re: Hotpoint 8496C – fridge also not working.
Any of the “Mistral” threads will help adamnarman 🙂
They all use pretty much the same technology and components.
When you say the fan is running, which one ? There isn’t one in the fridge itself, one is in the freezer and the other next to the compressor.
Remember power off please when checking :zap:
