Like many others I seem to be having problems with the fridge portion of the FF92 not cooling. The freezer is fine but the fridge rose to ambient some while ago. The problem seemed to be that the fan wasn’t running and circulating the air. After a full defrost all seemed to be well for a few days but them the temperature rose again but then dropped back down. This seemed to be the pattern for a few weeks, where all would be OK then the fridge temp would rise for a few hours and then drop back down for a couple of days then rise etc. A few days ago I noticed error code E7 was displayed instead of the freezer temperature. This then went away and things continued as normal. I’ve now had E7 displayed about 6 times now that I’ve noticed and the fridge seems to be permanently just below room ambient.
What does E7 signify?
Any suggested fixes?
Is this likely to be the thermisors as in other posts?Many thanks for any help

Yep, E7 is an evaporator thermistor problem normally 🙂

I appear to have fixed my FF92 over the w/e by replacing the evap and freezer thermistors (http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … pic&t=9851).
I am not an engineer but here’s a spot of advice that would have helped me out during the fitting of the evap thermistor. Assuming all FF92s are the same:
With the power off, remove the internal housing at back of freezer compartment (8 screws). You then need to wriggle out the polystyrene panel (that holds the freezer thermistor) and then you are presented with an aluminium panel that covers the evaporator. You need to get this out of the way to get to the evap thermistor. TAKE CARE This panel is connected to a series of reasonably delicate electrical stuff (told you I wasn’t an engineer!) which is essentially fixed to the back of this panel and the wires are threaded through various loops in the evaporator. Also if you have any ice build up then all of the above wires could be enased in ice. Thaw it out (if required) then move the aluminium panel as if you are opening a door towards you with it hinged on the right hand side – that way you shouldn’t damage any of those wires. Then you can leave the wires connected and prop up the aluminium panel while you change the evap thermistor.

Well it looks like a common problem with the FF92. I have used the information to guide me through some of the phases. I have checked all the thermistors. High resistance hold them between your fingers for a bit of heat and the resistance starts to drop. All ok. Suspect that the problem is with the fan. Due to undue pressure from my better half I have to call it quits and get a service engineer in. Will post their fix. 😕
I too am searching for a solution- I’ve HAD E2 on the display but it seems to be intermittent I now have no fault displayed with freezer temperature of -27.5 (using probe from barometer ext sensor!) and 5 in the fridge when set at 2, oops spoke too soon now +46 in freezer on display !
I was taking the fault code as possible freezer thermister open circuit (from other threads) the resistance I had was 2.9K at around 20 Degrees C on the alleged faulty thermistor and I thought I’d seen a figure of 31K quoted for a correct reading, but having just recieved my new thermistors the reading on the new ones is 2.78K at around 20 degrees C so I’m not sure it is the resistance of the thermistor causing the problem.
I’ll have to admit I butchered the connection getting the plug disconnected so this might be a cause? but wouldn’t explain the fault code.
About the only observation I can make isit doesn’t seem to be blowing warm air out at the bottom like it used to although the fan is turning and all the cat hair has now been removed !Does anyone have a table of manufacturers fault codes for the FF92?
