    Dear all
The bottom oven on this Stoves gas cooker is overheating. The burner seems to remain constantly at full strength when in use. I presume most likely there is a thermostat/control problem. I have successfully repaired many appliances before, but not a gas cooker. If it’s a straightforward part swap out that should be no problem for me, but more complex issues might need an expert, especially as gas is involved. Any suggestions and advice gratefully received. Thanks
    Ian

It is almost certainly the thermostat but you will legally need to call a Corgi registered engineer to fit the part for you.

Check the link at the bottom of my post for one or the Corgi website list all their members as well. 🙂

    Thanks Dave
I checked repairs@ but sadly my area not covered, so I’ll look locally and see if I can find someone. Do you have a rough idea what sort of cost I might be looking at for the part and fitment
    Cheers

This is a very ballpark figure, about £100 job done 🙂
