    hi!
my white knight bg 437 gas tumble dryer has a problem.
when i start the timer the drum doesn`t move but if i give the drum a turn by hand the motor kicks in and turns ok with plenty of torque.
    any ideas gratefully recieved
    Dave.

Nip down to here instead 😀

Don’t forget this is a gas appliance and even though no gas connection is disconnected removing the capacitor, it should legally be repaired/part fitted by a Corgi registered engineer.

    Thanks Martin and Dave,

It turned out to be the motor capacitor as you suggested Martin.
New one only cost £3.08 from maplin

Thanks again for all the help
    Dave
