    Hi,
    does anyone have any idea as to what could cause my Hotpoint FDW60G 1
    to be doing this?
    The filter is not blocked but i cannot use the machine, all it does is fill it up a bit, then it gets the filter blocked error and drains it again, thats it!
    TIA for any ideas 😀

    At a guess, have you checked how low the waste-hose is down the standpipe? or is it connected directly to the sink waste? as a former hotpont engineer, was a common problem (im assuming its a new appliance) but i have not worked on this model.

    Hi,
    thanks for such a fast reply,
    it is brand new and is plumbed into the sink drainage, it is a replacement one so just put back as the last one was.
    Looks like it’s going to have to be a phone call tomorrow and engineer out then 🙁

    im having the same problem with my fdw60g,however the lights that flash are 4 and 6 which is not shown in the manual.i have cleaned the drainage and checked the inlet. any ideas anyone??

    4 and 6 are a heating problem chewitt which could be down to one of a few component failures I’m afraid.

    Engineer time to be honest, check the repairs@ link below 😀

    thanks for the post dave,phoned hotpoint this morning at 10 o’clock and had an engineer with me by 1pm!!! 8O. it was a heater element fault and he’s put a new one in.best sevice i’ve ever had from any company 🙂 thanks again for the help
