KeymasterSeperate subject to ISE, have to keep the items away from one another.
ACH Kenneth tells me won’t be ready till September, possibly. What happened to change the view that we might have a working Beta copy in February?
Why have we paid Callum £16,000 toward ACH and what have we for it?I am concerned because I can’t see anything for the money yet. I thought Callum had developed the Database for ACH and was to deliver by a 1st October deadline! I know he asked for a couple of weeks extension to that, we obliged, but have now paid the second installment of £8,000 to Stropharia.
So, just what have we got for £16,000, that we have paid so far?
Without ACH we have no “networking” plans. Whilst we can develop relationships we are dead in the water. Talk of spares partnerships, Kenwood/Elba/Wash Vac/Humes are all to early and exposed.
We need…..A more difinative plan on how to proceed with ACH, we need deadlines for people to work too, we need a director to take charge and ensure deadlines are met, we need clear and efficient communication and most of all….we need to disscuss our hopes and aspirations and where we want to be in 12 months time, in 24 months time etc, etc.
You should all be aware that UKW is not a bank, we have to maximise our efforts to promote and project ourselves into a higher league. The possibility of the loss of P&G funding should stir you all, in June 2006 we will be in the poor league again unless we shift up a gear.
The P&G training has to be worn out, the phones should be red hot with Trainers fully engaged in acheiving, not sat at home doing little. Our survival may well depend on the results from January to June. We have to sort out the Market Research thing. We have to be capable of recruiting agents to do it, over a reasonable time scale and ensuring we follow up the agents efforts.
I feel that we all don’t know everything thats happening, I think we are falling into the Dasa trap of not progressing as we should. Bit unfair that, we are not that bad, but I’m trying to get a point across.
So, lets have discussion and comments in here, our forum.

WRT the training I’m thinking on a change in the format slightly, we need to discuss that then tell Sean what he’s doing. 😆
But I do have a plan that could, hopefully, make a difference. Let’s hope it’s enough to turn the tide.
ACH is a mammoth task to do from scratch, but I get where you’re coming from totally and it’s a point I raised with Calum the other day. We need results, not rhetoric.

David is spending far too much time doing spares admin stuff IMO which I should be doing, it’s tieing up valauble time he could be spent sorting training stuff etc out, this was the reason I wanted the Streamline machine here. I can also sort some out at weekends when no-one is at Nursery Street that way, saving us both a lot of time on Mondays 😉

KeymasterIt is also giving David some decent training having to deal with it all. He actualy tries to deal with as much as he can without asking for help, but that’s what we pay him for.

Very true but my concern was spares taking too much of his time that could be spent on other things that have a more pressing need 😉

KeymasterIndeed and I agree entirely, but things get easier (a lot easier) when you move up here with respect to that problem.

The point of the post is exactally…..
What is your plan? regards training.Part of what I’m on about is the lack of sharing of info. Great you have a plan, errr, where next for the other 3 of us.
As to what have we got for £16,000? Any ideas?

That too concerns me. I was a little miffed the other day when Calum was quoting September next year as, quite frankly, we can’t wait till then.
Hence he now has a deadline of June ’06.
I suppose that they have only really been at this since September, but even so I personally still want faster results and as a business we need them.

Dave and I discussed this, you did kinda leave this to me, and we decided that we would ensure that those involved signed an NDA.

I will be asking you all for more information on ACH later, I need replies today if possible as this has to move.

Agreed.

To which end, it is abundantly clear that the detergent training on its own is not attracting the attention that we hoped for. My idea, which I just couldn’t be arsed to type out last night, basically is to book rooms and get the training doen along with the ISE introduction in conjunction with the freebies. That is a massive incentive to attend and I’d suggest that we trial that in January in Scotland.

The point is that I trust you three just to do the job and discuss as required.

With Regards to the P&G training we know that the troops really dont want to see us untill mid january when things start to quieten down so we should be using this time to put pressure on P&G to give us all the tools they promised to help us sell the package. Things such as :-
A) THE COMBINED LAUNDRY/DISHWASHER TRAINING PACKAGE
B) THE SHIRTS AND FLEECES FOR THE TROOPS
C) THE FREE SAMPLES FOR THE TROOPS
We need them to know that our best chance to deliver the training for them will be from mid jannuary onwards so we need all the tools and bribes in place to help us to get bums on seats.
If they give us all the promotional stuff that they promised we can turn it all around, as the troops will then help us to advertise it through word of mouth and glowing reports on UKW forums.
It is no use giving us the tools when its all too late. A classic example is The case of Alex who was well used to getting some freebies from the electrolux route and had we been able to deliver same, would have been more likely to have helped out when it came to getting the all important survey sheets completed and sent in.
We need to push for all the tools now if we want to stand a reasonable chance of hanging onto the contract.

According to the schedule of events there will be another £8,000 due to Callum on the 1st January 2006.
I trust you will advise Callum that this will be held back until there is something to equal the £16,000 we have paid, so far, indeed the £24,000.
I’m sure we could buy an off the shelf product for £24,000 although I realize we don’t own it etc etc..

KeymasterWe should have a working Beta of Indie in the next couple of weeks.
I was putting pressure on Calum earlier today.
