Hi Guys, apologies for the last question, I didn’t quite manage to word it correctly to explain my problem.
We have a Ariston Margherita 2000, Washer/Dryer. which is 3 years old.
It has a funny grating / grinding / squeeking noise generally while washing when the drum first begins to turn each time. Apart from that we have a huge problem with the dryer, in that its not drying. The machine makes all the correct notions to make you think its drying, and it does give out hot air as it should, but it also adds water from time to time, which makes the clothes nothing more than wet and warm.
We have taken the filter out and cleaned it, there were no objects in there and the impella seems to turn with the clicking motion I believe it should have. Could this be a water pump problem ?

Possibly the hot and cold inlet hoses are on the wrong way round (the condenser needs cold water to condense the steam).
Model number required please for further advice 🙂

Two different faults you have there.
The sqeeking sounds like the belt has stretched, the drying (as long as the hoses are correctly attached) may be a blocked condenser/fan.
Don’t forget the “model number” bit, 2000 is a generic name for a whole range of washers and washer/dryers 🙂
