ParticipantI have a Bosch WFF2000GB which always seems to skip the spin cycle and end the program.
At the end of the program the Pre-Wash light flashes continuously, and I can open the door, but obviously the clothes are still very damp.
If I then manually rotate the program controller to spin, then the machine spins normally, then finishes, and clothes are then dry.
Anyone know what is wrong ?

Sounds like a duff/blocked pump to me.
Read through your manual, this will tell you how to drain and check pump.

The pump is clear, as I have checked. Although I have previously found a 20p or pound coin in there before.
I don’t know where the manual is, as the machine is nearly 10 years old now, and I never read manuals. Thanks anyway. 🙂

Is there any lateral play on the pump impellor?. If so you will need a new pump.

There is a very tiny amount of play if I waggle it with tip of my finger.
Brother in law said it might be the pressure stat. Is this possible ?

As it’s 10 years old, it could be that the water container (connecting the internal drain hose with the external drain hose) it badly crudded up 💡
When the machine drains it should pump out water at a fair rate, I suspect yours is very slow to drain? Thus the machine ‘times out’ and the Prewash light comes on!
Just a thought 😉

YES !!!
That was it 😀
I cleaned out the plastic tank as I noticed it did not look very clean, and I also cleaned the sump hose, but that was ok it seems.
The plastic container seems to have a hidden reservoir. What is this for ?
I removed the plastic drain reservoir from the machine and flushed it out several times with hot water. There was quite a bit of gunge in there.
My machine is now working perfectly again.
Thanks for help. 😀
