KeymasterI’ll get that done in the morning as I need the bank account details to do it, easy done though by the looks of it and easy to use.
Dave, I funked up your spares advert a bit this evening,I just thought it needed something to draw a bit more attention to it, so I did the little graphic (that was a right pain in the arse) and I re-did the text slightly to also push the fact that we do other spares as well.
Also done tonight is the Qualtex logo, hope it looks okay?
I need Nigel’s logo to do the Rumour Mill one.
I’ll also get a hold of John Farnworth regarding one for Homespares.

OK, for Sean and Kev’s benefit, I can’t open a shop as Ebay needs you to have at least a “5” score to do it which I don’t have, I assume this wil be in Ken’s user name for the time being then ?

So I see, thanks, I was hoping you would 😀

Looks fine to me, Kev, can you ask Cheryl to send an invoice to Phil in about a week’s time (so it’s not viewed as over keen to grab the money) 😉

KeymasterRe: Ebay Shop & Other Stuff
If I can the shop will be opened under the UKW banner and not my own personal Ebay account and, TBH, that would be a right pain in the arse to sort Paypal out with so I’m guessing/hoping that business and personal are split. If not well, too bad, we’ll cross that ravine as they say…
I think, in regard to spares sales, that it has become blatently obvious that we’re sitting on a little goldmine here. It’d never make us millionaires but by Christ it’s starting to make a real difference since Dave got really stuck in to it after leaving CES. It’s also become very clear to me on speaking to people that many are well pissed off with the likes of E-spares as they have not the knowledge or experience to do the job correctly, we should play on that and use it to our advantage in good time.
As you may have guessed that gave me an idea but, knowing the normal reaction to the “I have an idea” stuff I get I’ve decided to shut the fook up for now on spares. Let’s just grow it and breed competent staff for now on that score as it’s more long-term, but if we can get David and Craig up to speed once Dave’s up here then we can progress a little there. What we cannot afford is the level of error shown by competitors.
I still like my ducks lined up for slaughter.
I do need to help and train you Dave on how to use Photoshop a bit better so that you can arse about with the graphics a bit better than we do now. We also need to start watermarking our pictures when they’re ours.
If it really takes off and we are putting up shitloads of photos we’ll need another camera body and couple of lenses as well as some decent lighting stuff, but then we need the lighting anyway for DVD production so that’s not even a blip as far as I’m concerned as we can use it for other things.
However if the growth of the shop continues on its current trend I am totally unconcerned about shoving a little investment into it in both equipment and manpower as each is required.
If Ebay produces even half the results that UKW Shop@ has we’re gonna be hellish busy and probably getting on for one of the largest spares retailers in the UK.

I know, but I don’t think this one will last that long TBH. I’m a cheapskate (spelling ?) and wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t required 😉
Bollocks, I’m ordering one 😆

The Ebay shop is now empty but not gone forever 😉
I simply didn’t have time to add the products and the “seller fees” are mental for the gain.
Our own shop is busy enough atm if you hadn’t noticed 😀
