    Afternoon

I’m hoping someone out there can offer some advice.

I have recently purchased a Zanussi DA4342 slimline dishwasher. I worked great to begin with – but all of a sudden it has stopped working.

The power on light no longer lights up, but I have tested the power feed from the plug to the dishwasher and there are no problems there

Has anyone come across this before – if so any advice/info/suggestions would be greatfully received

    Thanks very much in anticipation.

    Re: Zanussi DA4342

How recently was it purchased (and from new) ?

It will be still under guarantee if it’s quite new.

If not, it could be one of a number of things to be honest and would require an engineer to diagnose, check the repairs@ link below 🙂

    Dave.

    Thanks for your reply Dave.

I bought it second hand – and was told it was 3 years old.

As I said it worked fine to begin with but all of a sudden just packed in.

I will follow your recommendation and see if I can find an engineer through Repairs@

Once again thanks for your reply.

    Cheers

When you say dead, could you please say excatly what is seen and heard please?

The biggest problem was gunge blocking up matrix tank and causing anti flood unit on fill valve to activate. If you make the room quiet and put your ear to the casing and see if you can hear a low hum.

With the power switched on at the wall (and a live power feed running from the socked to the back of the dishwasher – I’ve checked it) the power on light on the front of the dishwasher doesn’t light up.

Nothing happens & there is no noise at all to indicate something this blocked or jammed.

    Any ideas??????

    Cheers
