ModeratorFan motor has failed, rating plate has no type, model or serial number.
These people http://www.elica.co.uk/ are apparently the makers or agents.
Does anyone know of a quicker/cheaper alternative before I e-mail or ring them?December 13, 2005 at 8:16 pm #157627kwatt
KeymasterHi Iadom,
If you can get me a photo I should be able to identify it, price the part and source. 😉

By photo , do you mean of the motor, the unit has been boxed in by the kitchen fitters many years ago.

KeymasterBah, why do the gorillas do that!?!?!
If you could get me the best you can of the external and one of the motor I should be able to identify it, or I’ll get Elica to help. They’re not bad to deal with TBH.

Hi Jim,
The model, according to Elica, is either 73V or 73C (BI60WH).
The motor is part number 2007AM at £16.40, the motor support is 3011AJ £1.06 and the fan wheel is GN01PA, £3.77.
All prices ex VAT and carriage obviously but I can get them if you want them.

Customer says go ahead. 🙂 Best to order all just to be on the safe side, the motor is OC, but the other bits are so cheap its not worth the risk of them breaking when I remove them.
Thanks.
Jim.
PS. Let me know how you want paying, apart from ASAP. 😉

They’ll be ordered for you in a few minutes Jim, hopefully we’ll get an ETA on them as well but Elica are known to send spares to the wrong address since we moved. 😕
The motor support is nil stock though but I’m guessing that you won’t break that. Certainly not worth holding up the job just for that and the other two bits are the obvious ones to break.
I’ll get the parts in then you can just give David a shout with a CC or Debit card number as that saves messing about.

Parts just arrived, thanks folks.
Quick question, just opened the box, there is no motor wiring harness and no spade terminals on the new motor, is it necessary to cut the lead off the old motor and re solder to the connections on new one?December 23, 2005 at 9:54 am #157639admin
KeymasterRe: Elica cooker hood
hi
yes you need to unsolder and resolder the wiring but easy to do.
