ParticipantHi There,
Our DW has stopped cleaning effectively. Detergent tabs are ending up as a mush in the cutlery basket. Water level seems OK, but temp could be below expected and it’s sounding (presumably the pump) more “rumbly” than normal.
Any advice? Are there DIY things to try or is it straight to a pro?
Cheers

I would check the spray arms first Gary, they get blocked and rely on the holes being clear to rotate freely.
Poor circulation by the sound of it.
Is it hot at the end of the cycle still ?
Dave.

Have given the spreay arms a clean out – thanks for pointing that out! Have just put in a new tab and restarted things to see how it goes now. It’s just starting up, and it definitely sounds “rough”.
It was still luke warm just now (a few hours since last attempt at a 50C cycle) so I’m guessing it’s getting hot enough.
I will report back on results of this attempt.
Thanks for your help

A popular fault is where the uplift dual tubes detach. Located internally at rear of filter area; is just a push fit but can become loose over a period.

There’s a man who know’s his DWs! These pipes popping out has been a recurring problem from about 6 months old. I think one of the tabs on the fixed/base part that the tube clips into has broken, so it’s no longer a snug fit. My current solution is a cable tie looped under part of the filter and over the pipes – seems to be doing the trick so far. Any idea what the part number/cost would be to do a proper fix?
Cleaning of the spray arm seems to have helped cleaning alot (it was mucky) — Thanks again Dave. A case of RTFM for me I think.
Will keep an eye/ear on the noise levels and see how we get on.
Cheers again – brilliant forum!
