Hi. Looking for some advice!
I have a Brandt fridge/ freezer and recently we’d noticed food being slightly defrosted, and thought we’d left the freezer door open slightly. On inspection today I noticed that the seal on the freezer door no longer ‘seals’ at the top i.e. there is a gap. We dont have a warranty on it. Do I need to call someone out to fix and if so who? Or can I order a seal myself? Brandt dont seem to have a website.

In true Brandt style, you can buy the seal but it’s a lot more expensive than the whole door 😆
Whole door – 43X9242 at £70.14 ex carriage
Door seal – 44X1623 at £97.62 ex carriageIs there any excessive ice inside pushing the door away slightly by any chance ?

Do you think it’s the kind of thing we can order and fit ourselves or would it require an engineer?
Do you know how much ‘carraige’ charges are, and how much is labour (roughly)?
Will need to discuss with partner.

I would think carriage would be around £12-£12 for the door, labour charges vary quite a bit to be honest.
If you’re thinking of using an engineer, it may be adviseable to ask that they attend before ordering to ensure this is the only problem.
