    Hi there,

    My Tricity Bendix GS260 Gas grill / oven has a problem with the grill ignition – the oven lights fine but the grill is lit by the spark and then the spark carries on clicking, regardless of door position etc. I’ve buzzed out all the microswitches which behave fine, I’ve also replaced the grill electrode as it as cheaper than the ignition spark module.

    Anybody got any ideas what it might be? And is it possible to maybe swap the grill and oven ignition leads round to see if the fault is the spark generator?

    I might have guessed, it’s a Stoves manufactured appliance and not exactly an unknown problem 😉

    Please remember, as this is a gas appliance this should legally only be repaired by a Corgi registered engineer with the relevent ACS qualification.

    Can you confirm this please before we can offer further advice ?

    Well I know a guy who is Corgi registered os I guess I’ll have to get him to do it.
