Thanks Greg, now I know it’s easy to say I thought so, but I know E1 is Fridge sensor but the freezer is the only bit thats working ok, the fridge is not working, no voltage down to solonoid valve, you think freezer sesor would cause that?

Hi
I wouldnt have thought so, could be a sticking diverter valve or module problem.Greg

Thanks again Greg, this customer is someone I know, and back in the summer he said that the fridge was freezing intermitantly, corrected when switched off and defrosted, I said then could be sticking valve and give it a tap when fault on fridge to prove it, and would change if fault could be seen when I was there, not happend since and got call other day with this E2 fault. I’m sure pcb because of no voltage to valve, but could be a valve fault (and sensor?) after that. Christ nows where we should go from here.
Sorry for long post
Thanks againColin

E2 is sensor fault.
Replace pcb to cure fault. New pcb has revamped logic which I believe bypasses faulty sensor.

Thanks to you both, I’ll start with pcb and post results.
Cheers

Diverter valve is D.C.

Although I have taken a voltage reading on one before I can’t remember what it was but quite high if my memory serves me.
Do you know what voltage should be
Thanks

ColinAbout 350V D.C. IIRC
There will only be voltage for a short time as the valve is pulsed and the polarity will reverse as the valve is activated. :lesson:
All for future reference, as Boro has your answer.
