ParticipantI answered the phone yesterday and it was my local doctors surgery asking if I would like to come in for my flu jab. I replied that I didn’t think I was eligible. The woman replied that she didn’t know about that but you are on the list. I’ve never had this before but I suppose we are at greater risk than most workers. Do the rest of you have NHS flu jabs? 😕

Yes. I suffer from asthma. The one year I did not have it, I was off sick for nearly six weeks in total. Also have one for pneumonia as well.
If you can get one have it. It does seem to help.

Yes the best thing I have ever done. Jabbed for the last couple years with no problems. Why is it that customers are of work because they are ill but we as engineers are expected to go and repair the washing machine while they sneeze all over the place. So far so good I have not got the plage. Have a nice holiday, The wife and I are off to Norway to stay with our son and his wife this evening.

I’ve had one for the last nine years since I had a quadruple heart bypass if you can get it have it I had flu once and it knocked me of my feet for a week people say they have got flu when realy they have only got a bad cold, If you get flu you will be bedridden and unable to do anything for a week.
Do it now all of you even if you have to pay.
Best wishes for Christmas.

I’ve only had the flu once, and it does knock you off your feet. Ironically enough this was the only year I’d ever had a flu jab!
No bird flu gags….

I always go for the jab, and unless it is my imagination, rarely get a cold. I don’t mind two weeks off, but it wouldn’t work that way. In the last 20 years I’ve had off one & a half days, then I done paperwork on a lap top whislt in bed.
It was the one and only time I saw countdown.
I did ask the staff to go for it, but they are all Supermen and seem to think they don’t need one.
