Hello, due to the impending arrival of a dishwasher and a small kicthen, unfortunatly our drier has to go.

Rather than sell it off etc I was wondering about putting it outside.
I see that someone here has seen a shed for it and we have a brick with wooden front outbuilding it will fit snuggly into.

Apart from the obvious use of proper outdoor electrical outlets & trip
what would you suggest is done to the drier itself to prevent it from rotting or going faulty.

I am only hoping to get a few more years out of it, I realise that outside it will eventually die..

Next door has done this, so I know it can be done.

    Cheers, Mattylad.

P.S. I have also read this sites reccomendations

It seems you’ve answered you own question here and as long as you have taken all the information to heart, you can’t go wrong. The only fear you may have that has not been covered on the subject is the atrocious weather you may have to brave in order to access the dryer 🙁

Please keep in mind that electrical installations in sheds, outhouses and the like are notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations as from Jan 2005.
