The fridge freezer constantly freezes. I have had three engineers address the problem and each claimed it was fixed, but it wasnt!

One engineer said that he could fix the problem by snipping two wires and restore it to factory settings but he wasnt allowed, I was wondering if you could identify which wires would do this? I would appreciate any advice apart from an engineer as I havent had a fridge for 8 weeks.

PS – anyone reading this – DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL!!!!!! 😥

Some kind of electronic board I think, but it never made any difference.

Replaced by Hotpoint under the 5 year parts warranty ?

If that’s been replaced then the only other part that can cause this in theory is the fridge sensor which appears to be foamed in and cannot be replaced, hence the engineer’s notion of effectively bypassing it reverting the control unit to default settings.

Bosch had a similar problem with some of their models and created a kit to rectify this. You have no option but to call an engineer to be honest.

Check the repairs@ link below for an Independent engineer and present them with this thread 😉
