    Hi,

    I’ve got a Diplomat softline electric multi-function oven, ADP 3702, model number 059858519.

    The fan had been sticking recently, I think getting caught on gunk behind the fan guard. I cleaned this off and thought the problem was resolved. However, the fan then started moving very slowly, before finally stopping altogether on Christmas day (very helpful). The top and bottom elements work OK and the fan element still heats up.

    Does it sound as if I need a new fan motor, or are there some control electronics that could be faulty? I can manually rotate the fan and it turns smoothly?

    Any advice gratefully received – I don’t really fancy buying a new cooker.

    Fan motor failure – slow under power and free when turned by hand is a classic sympton.

    Genuine part number is 062081581800, or this:

    is a pattern alternative.

    Power off before attempting replacement.

    Replacement part arrived this morning and is now functioning perfectly – despite the left handed thread nearly throwing me.

    Thanks again for the assistance – looks like I will be having Yorkshire pud tomorrow!
