    I’ve had this washer for about 8 years and the pump was replaced about 6 months ago. Today, the drum has stopped rotating. 🙁 The pump is OK as I have tried different cycles to see what the problem is and the water drains OK. During this troubleshooting, I noticed that the drum does not rotate or spin no matter what cycle I try. I did notice at the end of a couple of the cycles that the prewash light flashed three times and looking around on this forum, that could mean the pump but that seems to be OK. Could this be the brushes and if so how much for replacements and how much for engineer to replace?

    Almost certainly the carbon brushes in the motor will have worn out. We will need the full designation to identify them – check the inside of the door for the e/nr number – should end GB/–, as there are several different versions.

    The prewash flashing merely identifies that there is a fault, not what it is.

    Thanks for the quick reply. 😀 From what I can make out on the sticker on the inside of the door – the numbers are badly faded – it is WFF2000GB/12. Other numbers from a sticker on the side of the washer are B159002GB0 and M5100B0GB. HTH

    Brushes sourced locally and replaced with the help of next door neighbour (mechanical engineer). Washer up and running like new. Thanks again 😀
