ParticipantHello folks, can anyone help me with the following problem.
A few months ago, the dishwasher wouldn’t drain properly and since I was a numpty, I called an engineer in.
It turns out that he knows my girlfriend, MFI employee, so he showed me how to sort out the problem and only changed what he needed.
Yesterday, the damn thing stopped working and displayed the error code E2. So I came on here and saw the code in a sticky. I followed the advice and not a great deal happened. I then proceeded to remove all the pipes and give them a clean out.
If I fill the filters with water and then switch it on, I can hear and feel the water draining out but there doesn’t seem to be any going in.
I had to pull the dishwasher out, integrated you see, and I’m wondering if I’ve kinked the water feed pipe when putting it back.
Also, is there any way to operate a reset procedure without pulling it out, or indeed pulling it all apart again?
I know this is fairly long-winded and therefore I apologise 😀
Thanks, Scott

Doesn’t sound like it needs reset to be honest if there’s no water coming in at all.
Take the kickboard off and try to reach underneath to the drain hose (the grey corrugated one) and carefully feel to see if it’s wedged in. Also check that the water supply hasn’t accidently been switched off at the shut-off valve (usually a little blue plastic tap under the sink).
Failing this it may be time to get an engineer back in to examine it.If you wish to try a different engineer put your details into Repairs@ to get a UKWhitegoods approved engineer for your area.

I took off the grey pipe as that was what the engineer told me last time, it had a bit of muck in it but I cleared it out and still no joy.
Now the display looks like it’s doing it’s own impression of a fit! It just keeps flashing different numbers at me and nothing that makes sense.
I think it could be engineer time, but that’s going to cost as it’s out of warranty.
Bugger 😥

If the control board (part number 816290672) is genuinely faulty you’re looking at £105.06 excluding VAT & P+P for a replacement.
It could, however, be something else that’s interfering with the board so it might still be worth having it checked first.
