    Hi, I’m having problems with my 5 year old AEG Competence where the fan in the main oven does not automatically start spinning when the main oven is switched on. It is necessary to open and shut the door (or more correctly bang the door closed) – sometimes a couple of times – to get the fan spinning.

    Model number: 30380B-W
    Product Number: 944171047

    Can I buy a replacement fan (I’ve checked AEG’s website and think the fan unit is product number: 344682-00/0) and replace it myself?

    The fan and motor is a spare part and I’m sure Dave conway will pick up on this and post some info for you.

    Fan motor is p/no 3115458-00/6, about £35 from memory.

    An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for confirmed prices and ordering.

    Power off before removing any panel.
