ParticipantHi.
First off – please excuse my ignorance on the whitegoods subject. Some of you might get get a laugh out of my rubbish terminology. 😉I,ve got a Zanussi ZE250w. Its in good condition (at least i thought it was) – its 2 years old, but it has started leaking out of the bottom.
I think it might be the heater that is supposed to evaporate the excess water that is broken. My flat is particularly dry and warm, would this have an effect.
Would this make sense and what can i do about it.
Would really appreciate a steer on this.
Is calling an engineer my only option, as I am pretty skint at the moment. Many thanks

Wrong model I’m afraid 😉
It’s very rare for any fridge to have an evaporation heater, where exactly is the water coming from ?

Hi.
Thanks for the reply.
You were right, model number is actually ZEBF250W Zanussi Electrolux.Right- this is probably going to sound funny, but the leak comes from a plastic umbrella shaped thing. Found at the back of the freezer section behind the drawers.(part of the ventilation apparatus? – im guessing again).
Every day im finding frozen water on the bottom of the freezer compartmentunderneath the bottom drawer and some leaks out through the door also.Should I be worried & is there anything I can do.
Premature thanks for any help given!!
Regards

The defrost cycle is not working correctly by the sound of it or the drain hole is blocked not allowing the defrosted water to exit.
Engineer time to be honest, check the repairs@ link below 🙂
If you do look further, please ensure power is off :zap:
