hi, the missus washed a very large rug and our washer is now not working… 🙄 The drum turns slowly on dry mode, but not on any of the fast spin/wash modes. That said, i think it has moved abit, and made a funny clicking noise
I have removed the top and the belt is still around the drum, and looking from underneath its still around the motor spindle. I have put my hand inside and spun the drum and it makes a ticking/clicking sound similar to above, but this might be my imagination!!
Its about 8 years old, so any advise on possible fix/costs would be appreciated 🙂

Did the rug disintigrate at all in the washer (especially the backing) ?
It could prove to be a nightmare to be honest if it has as the fragments will have got everywhere 🙁

Clicking noise will be lifted segment on armature in drive motor – replacement only real option. If you would post the pnc number from the rating label (starts with 9) we’ll be able to give you a price.
Be sitting down when it comes though………

rug didnt disintegrate – filter was abit mucky but nothing to worry about
Think the model is 9***70022 ?? Will check when i get home

In that case motor is p/no 1242707-07/1, last price I had was £101 plus vat 😯 .
