The plastic film covering the door has bubbled in a few places and doesn’t look nice. Can the film be removed without causing problems in the future? Thanks Ian January 7, 2006 at 1:11 pm #160132 Dave_ConwayParticipant Re: Hoover fridge/freeze stainless steel plastic coating pee I think the plastic film is meant to be removed after delivery to be honest 😉 If it’s the film I’m thinking of, it’s protective only. Refer to the user manual/installation instructions that came with it for a definite though. Dave. There was some film to remove on the sides. I think they had labels on saying to remove. The bubbling is on the doors. The film goes behind the door seals and handles. It would come off with some careful trimming. I am more concerned about oxidisation/staining if the metal is no longer protected.
