    Hi Guys,
    Have this Smeg dishwasher which is not starting. Initially there was water in the machine, held in 1st/2nd buttons, display showed PO, press start and water drained out. Turned appliance off and turned back ON, select program, press start, machine jerks like either pump or inlet valve about to operate just for a second, nothing happens. This happens anytime you turn machine on the off plus start. “NO ERROR CODE DISPLAYED”
    THE FACIA PANEL LAYOUT ARE FROM LEFT – rinse-quick-eco-65deg-Intensive, then on the right side from left to right, ECO – DELAY TIMER – START/STOP then diplay LED.
    pls any idears.

    This may sound silly but I had this problem try the detgent dispenser solenoid it may be disconnected or open circuit but it makes these machines do some wierd things

    Agree with bassman it’s the disp coil ,It does some really weird things check for o/c as well as meter across .

    Hi Guys,
    Sorry to drag this one back, I have gone to replace the saop dispenser this evening and the appliancce is behaving the same way, the only time drain pump comes ON is when I keep my finger on the start button, release and the pump stops. I’m suspecting the control module, any ideas will help.

    Have you tried the reset ?

    Yes Dave, funny thing is when start button pressed, pump jerks for 1sec, that is all.

    Dispenser coil taken the PCB with it then by the sound of it 🙁

    Not an easy one though 😕
