I have two Hoover TV30 dryers, which I bought at the same time about four years ago.

Both have the same problem, they have stopped heating suffiently and therefore dont dry well.

I have bought a new heating element, complete with two thermostats, which I have tried on both machines, but this doesnt make any difference to either machine.

Can anyone tell me what else may be causing the problem please.

Possibly air circulation problems, check the fan/ducting area for fluff build up 😉

Power off please when checking :zap:

Thanks Dave, I’ll give them both a good clean out, and see if that cures the problems.

    cheers

OK, Ive now stripped down one of my dryers, and cleared out all the dust build up (including a lego brick and a 20p), so all ducting / fan are clean as a whistle.

Tested without wet clothes in, and warm air is pumped out, and remains warm for 30 mins, seems ok.

Put wet clothes in, and test – the air coming out feels warm, but doesnt feel damp, and the clothes after 30 mins, are hardly any dryer than when they went in.

Im really stumped now (Absolute begginer at this), can anyone suggest what might be happening here / anything else to try ?

Any advice will be really appreciated, because im on the verge of throwing out two dryers, which may be fixable with a little knowledge, and buying a new one. Cheers. Kev
