ParticipantHELP PLEASE
Tricity Bendix BFF 781 W R134A 135GR Type B25771
Fridge Freezer inside of kitchen units with attached wooden doors etc.
Fridge on top – Freezer below
7 years old – cosmetically in perfect condition
Stopped getting cold. (seems to get a little bit of cold in the freezer)
But electric working and light on.
Small noise when turned on. (not bad noise- noise like when a fridge is turned on but maybe not as loud as normal)I have taken the whole unit out of its kitchen cabinet enclosure and can see all the bits and pieces at the bottom of the back.
Am in Kingston Surrey

As it’s frost free (the freezer section) the noise could be the fan running but the compressor may not be.
Check if it is now it’s out, you should be able to hear it from the back, if it’s not, it may be the fridge thermostat 🙂
Power off if going any deeper yourself :zap:
The repairs@ link below should provide an engineer if required.

Thanks your reply David.
Not sure exactly what your message is saying.
You say ‘Check if it is now it’s out, you should be able to hear it from the back, if it’s not, it may be the fridge thermostat’
If the compressor is not running does that mean it is the thermostat for sure that is wrong?
Or could it be that the fluid has escaped somewhere?
Or could it be something else?
If thermostat can you supply a replacement and how much please?
Can you suggest an engineer if necessary as when I enter the Kingston postcode KT2 5UR nothing is available?

Thanks for info.
I have called Capital repairs 2 times now and have been left waiting on phone listening to their announcements for 10 minutes 1st time and 15 minutes the 2nd. 2nd time they answered and said hang on and that was thast! Absolutely ridiculous. Maybe they have shares in BT!
Can you please give me some more engineers to try please?
Maybe more than one if possible.
Thanks -
