ParticipantHi all,
Further to a previous discussion on the float type water level control in this machine,I have already visited a customer with the overfill prob, cleaned and refitted float (clear end down as found),then get recall for same fault. So checked again, all still clean. Float or reed switch? Or both? Both costly-and someone said there was a mod to combat overfilling? Retro fit or manufacturer only? Is it a common fault?
If you can shed any light on this subject -much apprieciated!!Thought for the day- Thank your lucky stars these domestic appliance manufacturers don’t make life-support machines.

The mushroom in question is on the inside of the dishwasher, just next to the lower spray arm support. Think only the very early ones need modding by now.
Just another point of coding these modules, the ones with selector knobs I mean, the coding leaflet lists position 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. These refer to the knob posiiton as shown in the leaflet not those marked on the knob or facia. The knob actually turns past the numbered programmes. so dont get caught out, might end up with some odd programmes in the wrong places.January 15, 2006 at 6:19 pm #160408funkyboogy

yeh your right..the leaflet you get is not very good as it has been photocopied many times by the looks of it…the only prob i had was that i pushed control knob back on to the wrong pos…soon notied mistake but could lead to confusios state if not spotted quick..
leaflet also mentions to by-pass pump relay in base (certain models)leaflet does mention this modified pcb will sort overfill probs
💡 ❓

Would not be in their interest to admit that. Bosch are not alone software problems.
For arguaments sake lets call it a software update 😉Greg
