    hi
    our machine runs until its spin time then struggles on to a stop and the prewash light flashes 4 times and you cannot open the door
    Checked the pump it works and has minimal lateral movement and the main drain hose from the machine and they seem ok
    any ideas please

    Have you checked the motor carbon brushes?

    Cheers
    stripped the whole thing down last night ie pipes soap container removed a bra wire from under the ball cock arangement put it all back together and the main motor will not rotate at all although it now fills and empties as it should (if you manually advance the programer ) so i guess it is the motor brushes ,unless someone has any other ideas ??????

    following on from the suggestion to check the motor brushes I have changed them and all seems ok with 2 full washes under its belt
