    Drops to 8kohm in water at (very approx) 50C.
    Part no. 92743616.
    It sounds reasonable to me. Timer has been sticking somewhere not sure what point though. Just want to eliminate ntc from suspect list before sending board off.

    From the Hoover info:

    20K @ 25C
    2.14K @ 85C

    That’s the only two values they give so it may be out of range (high) by the looks of it.

    Hi Mike
    I’ve replaced loads of these on candys and hvrs ,I once read tech info a fews years ago and it said that even if the values check out they can still be faulty 😕 they are now part of my van stock and when they go faulty the machine can do all sorts of funny little things.

    Well that’s the info I was looking for. Thankyou Dave and Mark.
    Was a bit impatient and sent board to Tony already so I’ll see what he makes of it but looks as though I’d better get a thermistor ready anyway.
