I have recently fixed my dishwasher with help from this forum. Thanks!
It involved removing the sump assy and giving it a good clean.

I have re-assembled but have a slight leak. Approx 1 tablespoon on the longest cycle.

The water drips onto the motor mounting plate and into the base plate.
I am guessing that the sump seal is leaking slightly.

The water does not go near any electrics.
Is it safe just to leave it – Would it evaporate?
Are there any tricks/substances for ensuring a good seal?
Or is a replacement seal required?

    Any advice appreciated.

No the leaking water is not safe! Difficult to say what is wrong without looking. Check out Repairs@ for an engineer.

Please unplug this appliance and do not use it until the fault has been repaired. Water leaking onto the motor presents a risk of fire, although more likely it would just trip the electrics.

The machine is not installed at the moment.

I did some testing in the garden using a RCD trip with the covers off after having cleaned the sump out.

I think I already knew the answer to the ‘is it safe’ question!!!
    Water and electricity hmmm…

I am looking for suggestions/tips on how to ensure a good seal.

    Cheers

Do not use sealant of any kind.
    Something is wrong.
Please get a pro in or look at it again.
