ParticipantHi,
Its my week for obsure faults this week.
I’ve got a Bosch condensor tumble dryer WTL6106GB / 07. Its the sensor dry version.
It works fine for about 10 minutes then switches off and the “Cupboard Dry” indicator flashes. You can restart it straight away and it works again for about 10 minutes. It heats fine, puts water into the bottle, does everything ok.
I’ve checked everywhere for blockages in case it was overheating but havent found anything. If anybody can shed any light on this problem for me it would be greatly appreciated.
Where have all my brush changes gone!!!!!
ThanksNick

Sounds very like the Hpt/Creda relay fault – except it’s all on the one PCB.
Just a thought.Chris.

Im not so sure its the relay, well not in the same sense as the hotpoint/creda one. When hotpoint creda fault occurs you cant start the machine again until the relay has cooled down. This Bosch machine you can start immediately, again and again.
It just looked to me like it was telling me an error code with it flashing “cupboard dry”.I just hope Rocketman’s info will shed some light.
Thanks for all your help guys

What would the carbon brush do if worn and jumps off the drum momentarily on rotation?

The carbon brush in contact with the drum completes a circuit and measures the resistance between the paddles and the main drum. If this carbon was to be faulty it would cause a fault in the drying times.
