ParticipantI have had this tumble-dryer for 6 years now, and it has been repaired once. It had the Thermal Cut Out Sensor replaced about 3 years ago and has been fine until now. It tumbles but there is no heat.
Is there any way of testing it ourselves to see if it is the Thermal Sensor again. I don’t want to buy the part and fit it, if it isn’t that.
Is there a chance it could be the heating element.

Well, the dryer has done us well, and it cost me £80 for the callout last time, so I dont think it will be cost effective to do it again.
Either my husband will fit it or we will buy a new one.
You are right, it probably is the thermostat again, but is there no way of checking first?

Of course there is, but that involves removing parts and checking them with a meter. That’s what we do in the trade after all and whilst I cannot advise or provide details, it’s a simple task for anyone with a modicum of electrical knowledge and experience to perform.
If you give me the full model number and serial number (on the door hinge) I can at least show you how to obtain the parts you need 🙂

Hubby has just borrowed his dads continuity meter and they are testing fine! Does this mean it is something else?

Yes! As Martin sugguested, it time to call in the professionals.
This shouldn’t cost you £80 call-out. That’s way too expensive IMO! 😯
