The internet, and in particular UKW. and its ability to solve ones daily problems, never ceases to amaze me. For example:-
Wed. Goes to job, an ILVE oven. Simple job -Grill element. In my 35+years never heard of this make, so where was I going to get part from. Scratching my head, I Took element away hoping I might find something to fit from somewhere. Got home quick search on UKW of “ILVE” . Turns up “Cookerfit”. Quick PM off, reply promptly received detailing exactly what I needed.
Thurs. Phone “cookerfit ” in morning. Charming lady (mrs cookerfit?), seemed to know all about my enquiry, deal done by credit card, with promise to post today.
Fri. Part received, Fitted, Money in the till.
B. Marvellous, and I didnt even have to trouble Dave Conway with a post!.

Its great. Turn up to job never seeing appliance before forearmed with knowledge look good impress customer and get paid for it! You are then in their house (and their families/ friends) for the rest of your working days. It is scary from the customers point of view as you are a strange man in their home. Prove yourself and you will do well.
