    Hi there,

I do hope that someone may be able to help me.

I have a Teba TFC2210 free-standing gas cooker (double cavity, 4 hobs, in white) and I have a problem with the oven control knob.
It’s stuck from MAX down to the lowest setting (E). Whilst it’s fun switching my gas supply on and off, I suspect (and hope) that there could be an easy (and cheap, I hope) fix for this.

I am aware that Teba (or at least their UK side of things) went into recievership or similar and no longer supply parts.

I don’t want to have to buy a new cooker. 🙁

I have taken two pictures, one of the controls setup(just in case the model number means nothing) and of the knob as it is now.

I’m not sure if these may help, but it can’t hurt. 🙂

As I said, I get the full range of control, except to get to get to the OFF position from MAX (clockwise turn from MAX, ie left hand side on knob)

Please, please, please soemone tell me this can be fixed.

    Thanks in advance. 🙂

And just after I posted this, I found a manual for this, sold as a Nepiva.

The manual can be found here

Is it worth me taking the control knob off and taking a gander?

    Thanks,

    hi eveningshift

the problem lies within the oven thermostat which will need to be replaced, there is no other option.i still hold the parts in stock so if dave hasnt got one let me know and i can send the engineer the part.

this part will have to be fitted by a corgi registered engineer.

    Ok, then. Thanks for the response. A couple of questions, then (I’m the inquisitive type);

    1) How much am I looking at for the replacement thermostat?

    2) How does the thermostat relate to the control knob not allowing me to stop the gas supply to the oven?

    3) Could it not simply be a faulty valve/control?

Please excuse my ignorance, my usual field of expertise is webservers and networking. 🙂

If I seem to have overstepped the mark in my questioning, please refer to my motto… “When it’s in warranty, a geek asks how he can get it repaired. Once the warranty expires, the geek will ask how he can take it apart. 🙂

    Thanks.

I have no Teba spares any longer so if Bryan can supply he will let you know the price etc.

The valve/control is the thermostat 😉

    Bryan,

As per Dave’s post, do you have one of these, please?
How much are we looking at?
And when would I be able to get it?

    Thanks alot. 🙂
